Last week, I attended the Delta Faucet blogger event in Indianapolis, IN. I learned more about the Delta brand, and had the chance to meet several fellow bloggers.
When we entered Deltas headquarters we were greeted by a round of applause - yes I believe that was a first for me and I was little embarrassed :)
On day one, we learned more about the technology and innovation behind Delta and Brizo (Deltas higher end brand) products.
Prior to going, I never really thought much about faucets other than the aesthetics - but after Delta explained how they look at the needs both known and unknown to the consumer, and how they are constantly striving to make their product better to meet those needs ... I realized what Ive been missing!
Here are some of my favorite innovations that Delta has developed for their products.
1.Touch20® and Touch2O.xtTechnology

Delta offers both hands free/touch options for most of their faucets - at first I thought is that really necessary? But for the short time that I used it, I really got used to it and I found myself tapping all the faucets with and without the touch technology. No waving your hands in front to turn on needed!
 2. H2Okinetic™ Technology
Delta utilizes a simple chip inside their shower heads which "sculpts water into a unique wave pattern, giving you the feeling of more water without using more water"
Shower head on left has H2Okinetic™ Technology while the one on the right doesnt.
The shower head on the left felt evenly dispersed and gave a soaking feeling while using 2.5 gallons per minute and the one of the right felt sharper and uneven while using 3 gallons per minute.
3. DIAMOND™ Seal Technology
Delta looked at common leak points and coated their valves with a thin layer of diamond to significantly extend the life of the faucet
To me it is reassuring to see a company going beyond the industry standard to make their product last longer, you definitely dont see that much today!
You can check out more innovations on Deltas Smart Solutions page here
While in the technology lab, we installed two faucets (1. with ez anchor technology, which was designed to have an easy and fast install, check out the video on this page to see how simple it is 2. one with the touch technology)
I was a little nervous at first, but with my partner Virginia from Virginia and Charlie we were able to install both faucets with no leaks!
being my first time ... it was a lot easier than I thought it would be!
On day two, we learned more about the product designs and trends behind Delta and Brizos products - I loved the mood boards and seeing the inspiration behind the designs!

Along with their commitment to quality and innovation, one of my favorite take a choices was that they are trend relevant without being trendy, by analyzing and tracking trends over several years. So important with a piece that will be in your home for years to come!
It was great to meet the people who represent Delta - everyone that we talked to was extremely passionate and committed to the brand!
Finally, I am so glad that I got the chance to to meet the bloggers in attendance, each have amazing and inspiring sites!
